Dear Members,
I have recently returned from a very successful and interesting International meeting in France held between the French (Club Phase 1), German (AGAH), Belgian (BAPU) and UK (AHPPI),human pharmacological societies. The meeting was entitled EARLY CLINICAL UTILITY ASSESSMENT OF NEW MEDICINES IN DEVELOPMENT and gave technical, ethical and regulatory overviews with workshops on pain, adaptive design, PK/PD modelling, cardiac safety and Bayesian statistics. There were eminent speakers and also speakers from most of the EU Regulatory bodies who clearly see us as a force to be reckoned with.
This meeting takes place every two years and it will be our turn to host it in 2017. I’m a little disappointed that there were not more attendees from UK but we were well represented amongst the speakers and session Chairs and involved in some interesting workshops. I am sure you would have enjoyed it as much as I did and I hope you will be able to join me in 2015 for the next meeting which will be held in Belgium.
Help us to increase our membership and tell you friends about the meeting and about AHPPI; the presentations are now available here.
Best wishes to you all.
Peter Dewland
AHPPI Chair
